Information and Changes for 2018
The Friday Night Poker Committee met for its End of Year Review and has come up with the following changes for the 2018 Season.
1) The only change to the current tournament structure is that we will re insert the blind level of 5000/10,000
2) Tournament Buy Ins will be:
a. The first Friday of each month = $75 Buy In (No More Bounty Night)
b. The last Friday of each month = $55 - 1 Rebuy per person (no changes)
c. The other Friday Nights will remain the same $55
3) Christmas Charity:
a. Charity Chip Format Discontinued
b. The Committee will review this in October to see if we can come up with something that works for everyone.
4) FNP Blog: This is the main source of communication with the players. We will have “business” cards available at the registration desk with the website address available to all players to encourage more use of the site.
5) Tournament of Champions: These changes are effective for the 2018 Season:
a. The TOC will be held on the first Friday in January, so January 4th, 2019 will be the next TOC
b. All 32 Players will start with the same starting stack of 25,000
c. Players will no longer earn extra chips for a win during the season
d. There will continue to be no time limit for completion of the TOC
6) Prize Pool/Pay Outs:
a. Pay Outs will be slightly adjusted to show more spots paid, and less top heavy. New Payout Sheets will be in place for the January 12th, 2018 game.
7) Set Up/Clean Up:
a. TD’s will be responsible for setting up everything except for the chairs. Players are encouraged to set up chairs as they arrive. When a table breaks down, the clock will be paused and not re started until that table and chairs are put away. Final table players who bust out are encouraged to put their chairs away. Final player payouts will not occur until the final table and chairs are put away.
8) Cash Game:
a. The cash game is totally separate from the FNP Game and is not supervised by the TD on any given night. Any rules, buy in amounts, etc are set by the players who play. The TD does not make “rulings” for this game either. The FNP Committee has no jurisdiction over what goes on there.
9) 100 Dollar Games/Deep Stack Tournaments: The Friday Game is just that, a Friday Game. Any players who wish to play any other formats or Buy Ins or weekend Games, are free to organize and run these games themselves. If a FNP Member wishes to borrow the FNP Equipment to run their private game they may do so but will be asked to run a 50/50 Game with 50% of the proceeds going to the FNP Group in exchange for use of the equipment.
