FRIDAY NIGHT POKER INFORMATION AND CHANGES FOR 2019
1) BLIND STRUCTURE:
We will add back the 500/1000 Level. The topic of Antes or the Big Blind Ante Structure was discussed ending with the agreement that we would not make changes for this year and will reassess/consider it for next season.

53% of Players surveyed were for increasing the Buy Ins to $60 for our
Freezeout Game and we will do this for 2019. So $60 will be the standard Buy In for
all normal Freezeout Nights and Rebuy Nights.
3) PRIZE POOL STRUCTURE:
We had changed the prize pool structure last year to increase the amount of spots paid out and the feedback has been good. We did note that we will make this a question for the 2019 Player Survey as well. Due to the Buy In increase for 2019 there will be an increase in the Prize Pool in general, which should meet the needs of players who want to see a bigger prize pool. Scotty P has confirmed that he will re do our Payouts Sheets to reflect the increased Prize Pool.
4) Re-Buy Night: (Last Friday of the Month)
58% of players filling out the Survey
58% of players filling out the Survey
stated they are happy with the current Rebuy system. There will be no change this year,
it will remain 1 Re Buy per player during the first 3 levels only. Re-Buy Night is $60,
with the Rebuy being the full $60 as well.
5) $75 Night – (First Friday of the Month)
59% of players filling out the Survey stated they are happy with the $75 Night, but given we have increased the regular nights to $60 we agreed to increase this is an $80 Buy In.
Summary of Tournament Buy-Ins:
a) First Friday of the Month: $80 Freeze Out Game
b) Last Friday of the Month: $60 Re-Buy – 1 Re-Buy Per Person – first 3 levels only
c) All other Friday Nights will be a $60 Freeze Out Game
6) $100 Games/Deep Stack Tournaments:
The Friday Game is just that, a Friday Game.
The Friday Game is just that, a Friday Game.
Any players who wish play any other formats or Buy In’s or weekend games, are free to
organize these games themselves.Barry Robbins is the contact person for the facility and people can book directly with him. If a FNP Member wishes to borrow the FNP Equipment to run their private game they may do so but will be asked to run a 50/50 Game with 50% of the proceeds going to the FNP Group in exchange for the use of the equipment.
7) Equipment/Supplies:
We have purchased 6 new table tops, as well new cards. They will be put into circulation at
the TOC Jan 4th. The old table tops will be set aside and remain as the loan out tables for
anyone renting the equipment. The new table tops will only be used for the Friday Games.
Our plan for 2019 is to replace the 100 and 500 chips with new chips and assess whether
or not the 1000 chip needs to be replaced as well. Also, we plan to purchase 1 new folding
table in 2019. Right now, only $5 per week is put into the Equipment Fund. In order to build
it up we will be doing monthly 50/50 draws, only on nights we have the regular $60
Freezeout Games. We encourage all players to participate in the 50/50 as all players benefit
from the use of the equipment.

8) Volunteers for Set Up/Clean Up
We have seen a great improvement of people helping out, especially with the new rule that the game will not restart until the table breaking down has been put away. We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support all year long in coming out early and helping set up – there has been an awesome increase in this area.
9a) Bar/Concession:
We appreciate the positive comments regarding Sue volunteering to run the bar & concession every week. Just so make this clear, no one receives any payment and is only able to do so with the approval of the Club. We are going to price out Monster Drinks, Vitamin Water, Sugar Free Rockstar, as well as Twizzlers. If the Club approves the purchase of these items then we’ll give them a shot. Please note that it is the club that sets the pricing on all items.

9b) Drinks/Food during game play:
Whoever is running the bar/concession on any given night is still paying the full Buy In. We are asking that players please make the bulk of their purchases at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the game, and mostly during the breaks. If you need to purchase an item while the clock is running, please be courteous and look to see if the bartender is in the hand before requesting to purchase something. Any of our current volunteers can get you what you need, just respect their right to play their hands first. Current bartender/concession volunteers are Sue, Cheryl, Donna L, Steve H, and Tammie if/when she ever gets her butt back to Victoria.

10) Bar/Concession Protocol:
The FNP event exists in part because of our relationship with the Venue. In order to maintain that relationship, Players are encouraged to support the Bar and concession. We therefore request Players NOT bring in outside food or drink. If a player does bring outside food or drink (for personal reasons/needs), it is expected that they ALSO support the Bar/Concession at some point in the evening. Under no circumstances will a Player be allowed to bring in anything that is available at the Venue.

11) Attracting New Players:
50% of players said it was not an issue. We will continue on with the system in place. Contact a FNP Committee Member to get permission to bring a new player. The new player must accompany you to 3 games before they can attend on their own. If you bring a guest, you are responsible for their behavior and whether they are a good fit for the game. If they’re not a good fit, you’ll be responsible for letting them know that. We prefer Quality over Quantity

12) Sportsmanship:
We seem to have slipped in this area in the past year and will refocus on bringing sportsmanship back to our game. It’s only a game and to make comments or berate another player because of how they play their hands or cards, or to blame another player for your loss or knockout, is not only inappropriate, but will not be tolerated.

13) TD Rulings:
Just a reminder that when a TD makes a ruling, there is no reason to continue arguing or discussing it. The ruling has been made and must be respected. Sometimes a ruling is made based on having fairness in our game. It may not be what you would want but once the ruling is made that is the end of it. Time to refocus back onto the game and any further negative discussions or comments will not be tolerated. See #12 Above.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the survey and shared their thoughts. We know
we can't always please everyone, but hopefully these few small changes will be positive
for most of you. Thanks for reading, and good luck in 2019! Your 2019 FNP Committee,
